Subdrive CMJ Showcases

We've been pretty busy! We're psyched to announce two showcases going on during CMJ. First up we've teamed up with our friends at The Culture of Me and Sheena Beaston. Half the roster will be throwing a big dance party right after a band showcase at Greenpoint's Europa. You'll find the Subdrive crew Viking, VDRK, Terror Dactel, Mr Vega, and others spinning that night.

Then, literally two days later, we've got the CMJ edition of HEAT at N 4th Bar! We've got newly minted Subcrew members OCD Automatic and Cobra Krames serving up some madness as well as guest Gavin Royce of Girls & Boys!

TONIGHT: DISCOVERY w/ WORTHY, Derek Plaslaiko, Palms Out, Curb Crawlers, VDRK, and more!


The day has come everyone, the debut of the new party conceived by Famous Friends' fantastic and fun DJ, VDRK! DISCOVERY launches tonight at Greenpoint's club Studio B and promises to be a hell of a night. In contrast to Friday's hard electro show with MSTRKRFT, tonight's installment of DISCOVERY, titled Vol 1.: The Anabatic Records Party, is a focus on the more tech-house side of things.

Lots of folks have been talking up Worthy since WMC, so we're pretty excited to see what he has up his sleeves. He'll be joined by Derek Plaslaiko, a staple from the Detroit rave circuit, and a resident at Brooklyn's own Bunker and Wolf + Lamb parties.

The night will be rounded out by the talents of Joee Irwin from Palms Out Sounds and Brandon Sek of Curb Crawlers as well as the talented creator of the ceremony (CC?) VDRK and DISCOVERY resident John Top.

Oh and the cherries on top? There's a photobooth that will be taking Discovery branded digital photos right on site, PLUS there's 2-4-1 well drinks from open to midnight! PLUS if you show a car service/taxi receipt (must be date corresponding night) you'll get a complimentary well drink/beer. Now that's encourage to come from over the bridge!

Doors open 10pm. 19+ w/ID. $8 adv / $12 Door

BigStereo x Subdrive CMJ Showcase


Been psyched to share this with you all! We're teaming up with our good buddies Famous Friends, the folks at BigStereo, and Meanred Productions to bring you a night full of banging new music. The showcase is FREE if you RSVP here and there's also free Ardbeg whiskey all night!

Who's performing you ask? We've got Little Boots doing a DJ set, Subdrive fave STA returning to NYC, HiDEAF, Terror Dactel, UFO!, Whack-A-Tone, and the Nacotheque DJs.

Plus if you RSVP, you'll get into the rest of the parties this weekend with performances from Hearts Revolution, Udachi, AC Slater, and a ton of other people! See you on Thursday night!

THE BBQ w/ Terror Dactel, HiDeaf, Bradley D – May 31st!!

Another party of ours is coming up fast! Next Saturday, May 31st, we're throwing a BBQ and outdoor dance party at Hope Lounge in Brooklyn. It's an early event, starting at 3pm and going until sundown...or until the neighbors shut us down. We've got DC's own Terror Dactel, myself and my boy Asterix as HiDeaf, and Famous Friends' Bradley D providing the tunes for the afternoon.

It's free and there's going to be tons of food and booze, so come through and have a good time!

LAWLESS numero DOS

So the second coming is here. LAWLESS numero dos is gonna be exploding in your face on March 8th, 2007 at Galapagos Art Space. You can check out myself, Eric Wrenn, Tony Jasper, Super Vixen, Iron Lyon, Yamez, and Complex dropping some excellent tunes for you all night starting at 10pm. Oh and there are two open bars thanks to the great folks at Everglo.

Remember to RSVP before March 8th, 2007 to get in for $5 instead of $8!
